Thanks to these local churches for their well wishes and goodies for staff! See everyone tomorrow!

We are so excited to welcome our students to MCIS tomorrow, Wednesday August 26.
Our drop offs begin at 7:20 am in the big loop around the parking lots, which is the second entrance from US 68. (The first entrance is the bus loop, and you definitely do not want to get stuck in there!) Students will enter the building through the lower entrance, leading into the Commons Area. If you came to Open House, these were the doors you entered as well.
Upon arrival in the mornings, students will report to the cafeteria for breakfast before homeroom. If you have a returning student to MCIS, you may want to prep them for this change.
Drop offs end at 7:50, at which point students will be tardy and will need an adult to sign them in at the office. This is the upper entrance door to the school, near the flag pole.
Our school day ends at 2:50, with pick ups starting shortly after. Pick ups use the same big loop as morning drop offs. Please display your pick up number and comply with staff members who are working to organize this process. Students will be called to line up based on the order of traffic as reported by pick up staff, so it is imperative that you maintain the line order as established. Students line up by a numbered cone 1-6, and when it is your turn to pull forward, you will drive up to the cone where your student is standing. The first few days may be rockier, but once we get into the routine of the year, you will find this process to be very smooth and efficient, with the entire line being cleared within 10-15 minutes once dismissal begins.
Thank you for helping us make this a great first day back for students!

Back-to-school reminders from Nurse Tanji!
A new signed provider's order is needed yearly for any medication administered while at school. The order must be submitted at or before medication drop-off.
Medication cannot be accepted without a signed provider's order on file for the current school year.
You can see her with any questions at our open houses this week!

We are so excited to welcome the following outstanding educators to the MCIS family in the 26-27 school year! They are knowledgeable, passionate, and care deeply about students. We know they are going to be excellent additions to our team! 💙👑

Thank you to all our families for a great year! Just a heads up that your student's bus may run a little earlier than usual today due to lower numbers; please be ready to receive them. Have a great summer!
Yesterday afternoon we recognized two outstanding ladies, educators, leaders, friends, and integral parts of the MCIS family for their upcoming retirement. Mrs. Luanne Bellingham, FRYSC Coordinator, and Ms. Mary Beth Donovan, 4th grade teacher, have dedicated many years to the Mason County School District, both originally getting their start at Jones Elementary and then moving to MCIS when the building first opened. They have both provided patient guidance, a helping hand, a voice of reason, and honorable service to their fellow staff members, students, and families of students, and will be greatly missed in our building next year! Please join us in congratulating them on this accomplishment and send best wishes for this next chapter! 💙

Congratulations to our 26-27 SBDM Council members!

Congratulations to our May "Marigolds of the Month!" These staff members were nominated by their colleagues for being positive influences here at MCIS and for respecting themselves, others, and/or this place! We are thankful to have them in our MCIS family. Congratulations to Ms. Makenna Bach, Mrs. Becky Schalch and Ms. Mary Beth Donovan! 👑💙
