We are so excited to welcome our students to MCIS tomorrow, Wednesday August 26. Our drop offs begin at 7:20 am in the big loop around the parking lots, which is the second entrance from US 68. (The first entrance is the bus loop, and you definitely do not want to get stuck in there!) Students will enter the building through the lower entrance, leading into the Commons Area. If you came to Open House, these were the doors you entered as well.

Upon arrival in the mornings, students will report to the cafeteria for breakfast before homeroom. If you have a returning student to MCIS, you may want to prep them for this change.

Drop offs end at 7:50, at which point students will be tardy and will need an adult to sign them in at the office. This is the upper entrance door to the school, near the flag pole.

Our school day ends at 2:50, with pick ups starting shortly after. Pick ups use the same big loop as morning drop offs. Please display your pick up number and comply with staff members who are working to organize this process. Students will be called to line up based on the order of traffic as reported by pick up staff, so it is imperative that you maintain the line order as established. Students line up by a numbered cone 1-6, and when it is your turn to pull forward, you will drive up to the cone where your student is standing. The first few days may be rockier, but once we get into the routine of the year, you will find this process to be very smooth and efficient, with the entire line being cleared within 10-15 minutes once dismissal begins.
