School Report Card
The end of the year is a bittersweet but exciting time as students prepare to say goodbye to the teachers and peers that they’ve made memories with this year and begin their summer fun! I want to say thank you to all the families who have so graciously welcomed me to MCIS. It’s been fun getting to know you all, and I look forward to continuing as MCIS principal next year.

There are many fun things planned this week, that have been shared in various posts and by teachers, so here is a list of the schoolwide activities for your planning purposes.
  • Monday, May 18: 5th grade field trip, 4th grade field day, parent SBDM elections 3:45-5:30 pm
  • Tuesday, May 19: 3rd grade field day
  • Wednesday, May 20: Transition day
  • Thursday, May 21: 5th grade field day
  • Friday, May 22: Last day of school
Please remember that the last day is now a full day. Our awards ceremonies will be held on Friday as well, with 3rd at 8:30, 4th at 9:30, and 5th at 11:00. Due to the close turnaround time between these events, families attending the awards ceremonies may not be admitted to the gym until 5-10 minutes prior to the start time. We appreciate your cooperation. Teachers will be reaching out soon, if they haven’t already, to notify families of students receiving specific awards that they will be giving out that day.

Again, I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to serve this school community since November, and look forward to working with our students and families in the coming year. Have a great summer and take care.
