The end of the school year is a busy time! Here are some dates and information that will help us all finish strong:

  • IReady testing will be 4/22 and 4/23. Please join us in encouraging students to try their best, as this data is used to establish their progress for the year and during summer planning. We will also be practicing for KSA testing with this round of iReady, to help students familiarize themselves with processes and expectations for state assessments.
  • Thursday, 4/23 will also be 5th grade night at MCMS, 5:00-6:30 pm. Parent info sessions will be held in the gym at 5:00 and 6:00, with the same information shared in both so families only need to choose one.
  • Monday, 5/4 will be the KSA kick off for our “Gallop to Greatness” Derby-themed state testing window. KSA testing begins on 5/5.
  • MCHS FCCLA is hosting a “VIP and Me” dance on Friday, 5/8, 6:00-8:00 pm. This is for girls in preschool to 5th grade, and costs $25 per couple, paid at the door. Questions can be directed to Shannon Roberts at MCHS.
  • The first week of May is Teacher Appreciation Week. It’s no surprise that we have awesome teachers at MCIS, and we want to make sure that they all feel the love this year. If you, as a family or small business owner, would like to donate a gift card to be added to our teacher appreciation celebration, those can be dropped off to the office any time prior to Friday, 5/1. We thank you in advance for showing the love to our staff.
