We hope everyone is looking forward to some relaxing time next week, as our Spring Break is scheduled to start on Monday, March 30 and will last through Friday, April 3. We will welcome students back to school on Monday, April 6.
Beginning Monday, April 6, the school day will be extended districtwide by 15 minutes. As a result, the school day at MCIS will start at 7:50 a.m. (the same time it has all year) and end at 3:05 p.m. (new time due to the 15 additional minutes). Teachers are developing plans for how to make the most effective use of this time based on their students' needs; the options include small group instruction, enrichment time, Character Strong lessons, tutoring/makeup work time, and KSA testing strategies.

Election Day on May 19 will now be a school day.
Thursday, May 21 will now be a full day.
Friday, May 22 will now be a full day and the last day of school.
