I hope everyone has been able to get back into the swing of things these last couple of weeks and enjoyed some routine and consistency, as well as the recent warmer weather. It's hard to believe that we are just a few weeks away from the end of the 3rd grading period, March 11. Please check our living calendar for other important dates.

On Thursday, February 26 from 4-7 p.m., we will be holding our Spring Parent-Teacher Conference night. Your students' teachers have sent home and posted materials about how to sign up, but please reach out to their homeroom teacher directly if you need assistance or have questions. Additional time has been allotted for phone conferences during teacher planning as well.

Good luck to the MCIS Academic Team as they compete next week at Regional Governor's Cup!

The first week of March is also "Read Across America Week," in honor of Dr. Seuss and his birthday. There are several activities planned throughout the week, as well as guest readers coming to classrooms. The main events to recognize and prepare for that week are our Title 1 Family Writing Night on Tuesday, March 3 from 5-7 p.m. We will be joined by author, illustrator, and YouTuber Steve Harpster! The Book Fair will be available that evening as well. You can find the information about daily themes below.
