We hope our families have had a wonderful break and enjoyed some quality time. We are excited to see our kiddos back at MCIS on Monday! Here is some information to help get us all back into the swing of things and ready for a successful semester:

  • Students will take the Reading iReady test on Tuesday, due to interruptions from NTI at the end of last semester.

  • Report cards for the 2nd grading period will be finalized Monday and Tuesday, and are coming home with students, along with their 24-25 KSA scores (for 4th and 5th graders) by the end of the week. Be sure to check backpacks for this important information.

  • Our monthly SBDM meeting will be held on 1/8 at 3:30 pm.

  • On Friday 1/9, students who earned their PBIS ornaments will be rewarded during Related Arts class with fun activities and stations like face painting, temporary tattoos, special gym activities, and a visit from the Mason Co. food truck serving hot cocoa. Students can still earn ornaments, all the way up until Friday, as an additional extension resulting from NTI interruptions.

  • There will be no school on Monday, 1/19 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

  • Congratulations to Ms. Moon's homeroom for winning the attendance challenge EVERY MONTH so far! Mr. Thomas will be here to recognize high attendance in January as well. MCIS attendance is typically among the highest in the district, and we are proud of our families and kiddos for showing up ready to learn each day.
